A+D Projects is the in-house studio for the School of Art+Design at Portland State University. For my thesis project, I created a selective archive to celebrate its tenth anniversary, drawing inspiration from the memories and nostalgia of my own experience in the course. This collection features work from past students, along with interviews from alumni and current staff, offering an insightful look at the course’s impact and evolution over time. I chose to design this archive as a booklet because of my love for documents, storytelling, and page layout design. Through this project, I wanted to create something tangible—an object that allows people to hold the stories and experiences of others in their hands.
As part of my research, I included a section where alumni described A+D Projects in five words. This allowed me to explore a variety of design approaches within the archive, using color and typography in creative ways to keep the design visually engaging and dynamic.
